Dear Calicchio Customers,
"It is with heavy hearts that we are sharing the news of the passing of John Duda. John was a second-generation instrument maker who had a burning passion for his trade. He began working alongside his father, “Lou,” at E. Benge Company at the age of 17 and that developed into a 50-year career where he became one of the truly greatest trumpet makers of all time. It is because of John Duda’s legacy and mentorship that B.A.C. Musical Instruments exists today. John’s final years were spent doing exactly what he loved to do, and he was surrounded by a team of equally passionate individuals who all very much looked up to, respected, and admired John as a friend, mentor, and master of his craft. The music industry has lost one of the greatest masters, but his legacy will continue on through our team for many years to come.
